Meaning of name The River Niger is Mali’s largest river that runs from the southwest to the northeast, connecting the capital Bamako with Segou, Mopti, Timbuktu and Gao. In 2007, Thé Niger was available as Special Gunpowder, 3505 (greenish-blue package), as Special Chumee, 8147 (yellow package), as a cube with Super Chunmee, 4011 (green package). In 2009 there was Thé Niger in a red, a green, a yellow and a white package, and in 2010 la Société Niger who imports this tea, followed the new trend to purchase Chunmees only, among them two Super Chunmees, 41022 AAA (one in a rose and one in a blue-beige package) and Chunmees in green and yellow packages.
